Broughshane 5 Mile Road Race - entries now ...

Ballymena Runners is delighted to announce that entries for the Broughshane 5 Mile Road Race are now open.

The race will be on Monday 18 August at 7pm at the Broughshane Community Centre. There will be no entries on the night and numbers are capped - so register as soon as you can . For full information and to enter visit our Broughshane 5 Mile 2025 page

Fairhill 5 Results

Well done to everyone who took part in tonight’s Farihill 5 race. We hope you enjoyed your night with us. Congratulations to Holly Taggart and Jordan Heron on their wins.

James Hamilton and Jack McKenna secured 2nd and 3rd in the Mens race while Kerry Bamber, Brigid Quinn and Stephen Gage had age category wins. Well done and congratulations to everyone.

Fairhill 5 - Sold out and entries now closed

The Fairhill 5 has sold out. We have over 530 entries so it promises to be a great atmosphere at a great race. Entries are now closed and just a reminder that there is no entry on the night.

We have a range of race pacers to help you on the night. Race joining instructions have been issued. A copy of the instructions, including pack collection and carparking information, is available on our Fairhill 5 Mile 2025 page.

Standing room only at Cosy Sofa graduation.

It was standing room only on Tuesday night as around 70 Cosy Sofa Graduates and the brilliant Ballymena Runners Cosy Sofa Team met to celebrate the group completing their first 5k run on Saturday morning.

Running lights provide great light ahead to see where you are running and have red lights at the back so you can be seen. It’s been a busy week for Ballymena Runners. Ballymena Belles raised over £1000 for Women’s Aid. Gemma Moore completed a 50miler in aid of Love, Hope and Faith. Meanwhile its been a record week for members completing the (not)Parkrun and setting new PB’s.

Jack McKenna's full story of running 66 miles in the Lake District

We reported previously Jack McKenna’s Lake District fell run (the Bob Graham Round) in September when he completed 66 miles and 27,000 feet of climbing in under 24 hours. We now have his full story and pictures of this exceptional challenge.
