Wednesday Training

Wednesday training has a focus on building strength and speed at a variety of locations including Ballymena Showgrounds, Ecos Park, Sentry Hill and Portglenone Forest. This comprises a mix of trail, hill and speed work including interval training and track sessions. 

Please check which group suits you best but as a broad rule of thumb the groups are:

  • Performance (suitable for sub 23 min 5k runners)

  • Development (suitable for sub 23 - 26 min 5k runners)

  • Foundation (suitable for 26+ min 5k runners)

Ballymena Runners Wednesday Training 2024

Dates - 6 November until 11 December (6 weeks)

Venue - All groups meet outside the Leisure Centre, Ballymena.

Time - Meet at 18.25 Sharp.

This block of training is Hill Repeats.

Please note all three groups meet at the Leisure Centre and do a warm up run to the respective venues. Note the 5K times for each of the 3 groups as detailed below.
