Membership Fees due now
From 13th February 2017 Lynn Tennant will be taking annual membership fees every Monday evening from 6pm before training. We agreed at the AGM the membership fee will be £30 until 31st March, thereafter this will increase to £35. If you are aged 60 or over, please let Lynn know that you wish to continue as a member.

Santa Run 22nd December
This year’s charity Friends of the Cancer Centre who are based at the heart of the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, the charity funds life-saving and life-changing projects that make a real and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of local people affected by cancer year in year out.
The suits cost £10 for which you will get your suit, and a light meal in Montgomery's at the end of the evening. It really is all about the club celebrating Christmas and helping a good cause.
For those of you who are new to this, the evening is very much a walk - slow run affair.
The route (guided by marshals) will leave Leisure Centre, go to Braid Town Hall, around the town, the Adair Arms, Tower Centre, and finish in Montgomery’s and sing a few tuneful carols at the bandstand along the way!

There have been a few incidents and accidents at training over the last weeks. Please read the safety advice below. As someone who's not been able to join you running for a while and has been driving near groups on Monday evenings, please be advised that many of you are poorly visible to traffic. Reflective gear is essential.
Grass Training & Cross Country
Well it's almost that time of year. Yes, grass racing time! The NI Winter League starts on Saturday 22nd October with the Bobby Rea Memorial Cross Country to be held at the beautiful Kilbroney Park,Rostrevor. The women's 5K race is at 2.40pm; men's 8K race at 3.10pm.
Over the following Saturdays we have the Comber Cup on 29 Oct and the McConnell Shield on 5 Nov.
To help you prep for these events we're offering club training on Sunday 9th October & Saturday 15th October. Meet 9:30am at Peoples Park for warmup laps and then run to Sentry Hill for the workout. Bring spikes or trail shoes. Cool down is the run back to Peoples Park (after changing shoes). In Week 1 the session will be 3 x 8 minutes, jog 4 minutes. In Week 2 is will be 3x10minutes, jog 4 minutes.

Sunday Morning Training
All club members are invited to join in Sunday morning training starting this Sunday 28th August and the following two weeks. Meet 9:30 Michelin Athletics Club, session will last one hour. Be surprised by new routes, expect plenty of variety on grass, trail, road and path. Led by Ray Curran, with help from Susanna Allen this week.
INTERCLUB HOSTED BY LARNE AC @ CARNCASTLE
Tomorrow's race will start 7pm with tea/coffee and sandwiches etc afterwards in the St Comgalls hall,Larne as per last year. The cost is £5 with profits going to a dementia charity and fun for Finlay who has cerebral palsy.
WE WILL NOT be taking a bus as per previous years as numbers did not support it.
We will car share from ballee park and ride leaving @ 5.45pm.
