Ballymena Runners turned out in huge numbers for the Ecos parkrun 10th anniversary run on Saturday. In brilliant sunshine over 230 runners and walkers completed the course and stayed to enjoy the huge birthday cake. We run for buns!

Ballymena Runners member registration is now open for 2022 season. All of our members will be registered with Athletics NI. Please register as soon as possible help to reduce the significant burden of managing the membership and Athletics NI registration on club officials.

Ballymena Runners are shocked and saddened at the sudden death of our club member and friend Allan Foster. Allan, along with his wife Alison, was a long time member of our club. Our thoughts and prayers are with Alison, his son Matthew, and Allan's wider family and friends at this sad time.

Ecos parkrun will be celebrating its 10th birthday on 26th March. We have now finalised our programme of events for 19th and 26th March, Join us in our litter pick, sign our thank you cards and find out who will get the Ecos Spirit of parkrun award and find out all the arrangements for both days. And don’t forget to sign up to volunteer to help….

The 10th anniversary celebrations kick-off on March 19th when ten oak trees will be planted beside the Millennium Bridge at 10:15am, just after the parkrun itself. Then its straight on to a litter pick with Ballymena Runners and the Friends of Ecos group to get the park looking as well as possible ahead of the actual anniversary run on 26th March. This weekend saw some outstanding performances at the Coleraine Campus 5k Elite and Open races, with wins, places and PBs galore for BRAC runners. Meanwhile the sun shone on runners were also out in force to support neighbouring club, Glens Runners, at their annual charity event.
