Mountain runs and colour runs and "naked "runs

Flagstaff to Carlingford Mountain Race

Well done to Tim Lowry who completed the Armagh AC’s “Flagstaff to Carlingford Mountain Race” at the weekend.

This is a 10.3-mile (16.6km) Mountain Race with approximately 3,120 feet (951m) of ascent, and as with all mountain races, navigation and local knowledge are essential skills.

This particular route and terrain is vulnerable to poor visibility with mist and poor weather - even in favourable weather conditions.

Ballymena Runners support fun run and kid’s ‘colour run’ at Eaton Park

Ballymena Runners were delighted to support Ballymena Rugby Junior Section at Eaton Park on Friday night.

The club hosted a very "short 5k" fun run. First to finish was Clive Fulton, followed by Andy Adams and Johnny McKenzie.

First female to finish was Sandra Clements, followed by Lauren Adams and Nicole McConnell.

This was followed by a hugely enjoyable kid's colour run in support of the club’s fundraising for the junior rugby section

Ballymena Runners ‘naked run’

Our next event will be a ‘naked run’ at Ecos next week on Wednesday 29 June at 7:00pm

The idea is that runners predict their actual 5k finishing time and then run without any watch or device. Whoever finishes closest to their predicted finishing time wins! Further details on the Ballymena Runners website and social media pages.
