Road Race and ‘Return to Running’ training continues

We have two new programmes exclusively for members - the Return to Running Programme and the Larne 10-mile Training Programme.  Club training is well under way for the Larne AC 10-mile coast road race on Saturday 19 March 2022.

We plan to support our club members take part in the race and will run a special training programme for them starting on Sunday 6th February.  We aim to help people complete the distance at their own pace and isn’t about achieving a particular time.

After last year’s successful ‘Return to Running’ Programme, the club are offering a follow up course.  The Return to Running programme aims to help members and returning members get back into running after a break.  You must be a member of the club to join the Programme.

The programme runs for 6 weeks starting with a walk / run format gradually building up to running for 30+ minutes / 5 km. It will help build fitness and confidence to help people get back running in our 30-minute group or doing a parkrun.

If you haven't been running for a while and want to get back this is for you. Full details of the programme and how to join can be found on the club website www.ballymenarunners.org
