Club update - membership renewal, return to training and sign up for our on-line classes

Free Membership renewal update.

BRAC membership renewal for 20/21 year continues to remain open until March 31, 2021. BRAC members who have not renewed their membership can do so via the clubforce app at no cost for the remainder of the 20/21 year.

Please download the clubforce app from the apps store. This does help us with our administration.
Membership details for 21/22 year will be available at the end of March 21. You can visit the BRAC Clubforce page here.

Return to Training

Your coaching committee met again on Monday 4th January 2021 to discuss the plan for return to training. The last meeting on 16th November had set a provisional date for the club return to training as 9th January 2021. However, on 23rd December 2020, AthleticsNI issued guidance to all Clubs to suspend training until further notice due to government and public health advice. Therefore, your coaching committee had no choice but to suspend the planned return to training date. No return to training is imminent but a provisional date in early March has been “pencilled in” and the committee will be meeting again on 1st February to review the climate and guidance as it stands at that time.

On a positive note, plans for our return are at advanced stage with 25 LiRFs trained in the use of the Clubforce App for track and trace and booking training sessions as well as practical advice on safely leading groups.

B.R.A.C Zoom Strength & Conditioning

We are still able to take newcomers for these popular classes. Gregory has kindly agreed to accommodate any of you who missed registration last week.

Please do take this opportunity and sign up. At the end of the 12-week period it would be good to let the Northern Area Community Network know that most of our members benefitted from their generous funding.

The classes have been a resounding success. It was great to see some of you all, albeit virtually. The feedback from you has been very positive:

“This is a great time for these classes to come about when we have so many restrictions on what we can do. Exercising from home but yet feels like you're with club members.”

“Gregory has very much tailored the sessions to runners of all abilities”.

“These classes are fantastic, I suffer with lower back pain, tight hips and a dodgy ankle (basically I’m falling apart) I’ve done all the classes, one via the recorded method and I can’t believe the difference in just a week”.

You can find full details of the courses in the club email or on the club website Best offer you will get - BRAC Strength & Conditioning Classes — Ballymena Runners AC.

Gregory has also set up a B.R.A.C Zoom Strength & Conditioning Support Group page https://www.facebook.com/groups/437888110590158/?ref=share  .
