Race Reports w/e 18th November 2018

British & Irish Masters International Cross Country
Four Ballymena Runners (Noel Connor, Geraldine Quigley, Brigid Quinn and James Turtle) were in international action at the weekend, representing Northern Ireland at the annual British & Irish Masters Cross Country event in Swansea.

In Race 1 (All Women; Men aged 65+) Geraldine came home in 25:08 ahead of Brigid (35:12).

Race 2 (M50, M55, M60) saw Noel recording a time of 29:55, just in front of James (30:02) with both performances helping Northern Ireland to silver medals in their respective age categories.

Tweed Valley Ultra
Congratulations to Jack McKenna who powered his way to a superb 3rd place finish in the Tweed Valley Ultra, a 50k race with an elevation of around 4000ft, in Innerleithen, south of Edinburgh.

Born 2 Run Drum Manor 10k & 5k
The Born 2 Run 'Run Forest Run' series continued on Saturday with the second event of the winter at Drum Manor Forest Park near Cookstown.

The club were represented in both events with Tim Hawksworth (51:27), Jennifer Dickson (1:05:19) and Terry Foley (1:16:01) running in the 10k while Elizabeth Speedy (32:55) and Alana Cameron (32:56) competed in the 5k.
