You might have noticed a couple of familiar faces gracing your tv screens over the past few days .... and, no, you haven't been seeing things. It really was who you thought it was. So, take a bow, Gillian Wasson and Mark Alexander.
Popular BBC magazine and chat show programme, The One Show, are currently embarking on week-long 'Causeway Crawl' which is taking them from Carrickfergus, along the Antrim Coast before finishing at the Giants' Causeway.
One of their stop off points was Cushendall, which is in the midst its Heart of the Glens Festival. However, to Ballymena Runners, Cushendall means only one thing - the Lurig Challenge Run! To that end, presenters Alex Jones and Matt Baker welcomed the current Lurig champion, our very own Gillian, to chat about the run ....
So what about Mark? You'll find him popping up again and again in a prominent role in one of the Beeb's new 'Oneness' idents, specifically one entitled 'Fell Runners' during which a group of runners come to a stop at some rocks, and decide where to go next.
Filmed in the Mournes, thanks must go to Garmin Mourne Skyline and NI Running for co-ordinating some of Northern Ireland' finest mountain runners to star in this ident.
