Kieran Scullion excels in Dublin!

Kieran Scullion represented Ballymena Runners at the ‘Irish Runner’ 5K elite event held in Phoenix Park in Dublin at the weekend. Kieran finished in 16 minutes 21 seconds to finish 21st overall and 5th in the male over 40 category!

Ballymena Runners climb Slieve Donard!

Congratulations to Tim Lowry, Emma Donnelly, Duncan Millar and William Fleck who completed the annual Slieve Donard Mountain Race.

This blue-ribbon mountain running event has been held every year since 1946. This year the athletes raced over 10k and climbed 850m as they ascended and descended Northern Ireland's highest mountain.

This superbly promoted race by Newcastle AC saw a winning time of 48.44 from Zak Hanna, Newcastle AC! First lady and 3rd overall was Alice Flint, BARF, in a time of 59.28.

Next Sunday morning the club meets at the Rosses at 9:00am.

Our Sunday morning social runs are part of a wider coach led training schedule on Monday and Wednesday evenings as well as supporting the Ecos Parkrun.
