Week 8 of Cosy Sofa done and Vincent tells us why he's doing the Cosy Sofa

That’s week 8 of the Cosy Sofa done and dusted.

Big shout out to everyone who joined us on Thursday evening at the Leisure Centre for our session.

Well done everyone who took part in Parkrun on Saturday morning. Our leaders took the session at The Fisherman’s Walk in parkrun in the beautiful Glenone Forest beside the River Bann. For pics see The Fishermans Walk parkrun | Facebook

It’s hard to believe but next week is the last week of the Cosy Sofa. For the past two weeks we have ran for 30 minutes each session. It seems a long time ago that people were nervous about running for 2 minutes!

Well deserved cuppa after parkrun

We continue to hear from the runners why they joined the Cosy Sofa. This week Vincent explains how his children inspired him to join up.

I always wanted to improve my fitness and be healthier for my kids, but was never sure how to go about it.
I saw the Cosy Sofa programme advertised on Facebook and registered for it expecting not to enjoy it and give up after a couple of weeks.
Through the help and encouragement of others and the design of the programme, I have now just completed my 7th week and look forward to the group sessions every week.

Well done Vincent.

We look forward to seeing you and all the other runners at our sessions next week and at the Graduation on Tuesday 18 March at 7pm in Ballymena Bowling Club
