Tuesday night saw our fantastic Cosy Sofa Graduation night at Ballymena Bowling Club.
It was standing room only at one point as around 70 Cosy Sofa Graduates and the brilliant Ballymena Runners Cosy Sofa Team met to celebrate the group completing their first 5k run on Saturday morning.
Having completed 9 weeks of training most of the participants turned up at ecos parkrun to do their very first 5k parkrun. Everyone who started it ran all the way without stopping - a great acomplishment. Some who couldn’t make it to ecos did their parkrun at the Fisherman’s Walk in Portglenone and even in Letterkenny… Ballymena Runners we run everywhere…
The Cosy Sofa started in 2012 and has grown each year with over 100 people now registering each year. Many of our new Cosy Sofa runners go on to join Ballymena Runners and help keep our club one of the biggest in the country with around 350 members.
Big congratulations to all our new runners in the Cosy Sofa. You did us proud and we hope you are proud of what you have achieved.
