Home to Donegal

Susanna returned to her roots in Donegal to complete the Donegal Half Marathon in Letterkenny on Sunday.  it was wet throughout as the route traced the Swilly in full spate. This was a very friendly event with great support from the marshals despite the conditions.

Susanna finished in a great time of 1:50:13 and won her F60 age category. Wells done Susanna.

Scrabo

On Thursday 15 August the 13th and penultimate round of the Northern Ireland Mountain Running NIMRA Championship took place in Newtowards at Scrabo Tower.

This race is categorised as a NIMRA short and would see athletes race over 4 miles with 1,100 feet of climbing. Competitors raced two figure of eight laps in and around the woods and slopes of Scrabo Tower.. This fast and technical course was punctuated with stunning views of the Ards penninulsa.

Ballymena fielded four athletes for this race. Emma Donnelly, Mark Alexander, William Fleck and Jason Wilson.

Thank you to Andrew and Ballydrain Harriers for another fantastic Scrabo event.
